The Value of Membership . . .

Since its formation in 1992, the Louisiana Rural Health Association has been a leader in providing educational and advocacy opportunities relating to rural health for its membership.

Programming is designed to enhance the professional skills of rural health professionals and administrators and to keep them abreast of the latest legislative issues. Association continuing education workshops offer a wide variety of topics including fundraising, recruitment, health care reform and reimbursement just to name a few.

Membership is composed of individuals and organizations interested in making a difference in the quality of the health care delivery system for Louisiana’s rural citizens.

The organization is governed by a Board of Directors which represents a diverse group of professionals and consumers, as well as parishes and regions of Louisiana.

LRHA’s relationship with the National Rural Health Association provides networking opportunities throughout the rural United States, federal legislative information and advocacy, and numerous resources regarding health care.
